The FreePDF Service is designed for use by professionals, students, and individuals who are at least 16 years of age. By using our Service, creating an account, or purchasing a Pro subscription via Paddle, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of 16, you are strictly prohibited from providing any personal data to us, including your email address, name, or documents.
2. Compliance with COPPA and GDPR
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union regarding the digital consent of minors.

3. Identification and Deletion of Minors’ Data

- Account Termination: We will permanently delete the associated account and revoke access to the Service.
- Data Purge: We will permanently erase all associated personal information from our active databases and temporary storage (Cloudflare R2 and PostgreSQL).
- Notification: If feasible, we will attempt to notify the user via the provided email address that their data has been deleted due to age restrictions.
4. Parental Rights and Controls
If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe that your child under the age of 16 has created an account or provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
Upon receiving your request and verifying your identity as a parent or guardian, we will:
- Provide you with information about what data (if any) was collected.
- Immediately proceed with the deletion of the minor’s account and data.
- Stop any further collection or use of that child’s information.
5. Educational Use
We understand that FreePDF is a valuable tool for students. However, if a school or educational institution wishes to use FreePDF for students under the age of 16, the institution is solely responsible for obtaining the necessary parental consent (or “in loco parentis” consent) and ensuring that students do not provide personal data to our platform in violation of local laws.
